In a significant stride towards fostering digital talent in Nepal, Samsung Nepal proudly announced the graduation of students from its Coding and Programming course under the esteemed 'Samsung Innovation Campus' initiative. This milestone not only celebrates the successful completion of an intensive program but also marks the launch of a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) course, for which applications are now open, further solidifying Samsung's commitment to empowering the nation's youth with cutting-edge technological skills.

The recently concluded Coding and Programming course, which ran from December 22, 2025, to June 30, 2026 (assuming these dates represent the course duration leading up to the recent graduation), provided participants with invaluable practical technical skills, hands-on project experience, and crucial industry exposure. A special ceremony was held to honor these graduates, recognizing their dedication and achievement in mastering complex coding and programming concepts. This initiative is a testament to Samsung's global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) vision, 'Together for Tomorrow, Enabling People,' which has been actively implemented in Nepal since 2023.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Chang Uk Jung, Managing Director of Samsung Nepal, expressed his profound pride in the graduates. "When I visited Nepal last December, I witnessed immense potential in the youth here. Today, it fills me with immense pride to see that potential transform into tangible achievements," he stated. Mr. Jung further emphasized the critical role of digital talent development in an era where Artificial Intelligence is rapidly redefining every industry. He highlighted that through the Samsung Innovation Campus, the company is dedicated to equipping young individuals with the essential skills, confidence, and innovative mindset required to spearhead Nepal's digital future.

The program's comprehensive curriculum extends beyond technical proficiency, aiming to cultivate vital workplace competencies such as effective communication, collaborative teamwork, and critical thinking. These soft skills are increasingly crucial for success in the modern professional landscape, ensuring that graduates are not only technically adept but also well-rounded professionals ready to contribute meaningfully to the workforce.

Responding to the transformative impact of AI globally and the escalating demand for skilled professionals in this domain, Samsung has strategically introduced its new AI course. This program is designed with a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on learning, empowering participants to leverage innovative AI technologies to address Nepal's unique developmental challenges and contribute to its technological advancement. The integration of AI into various sectors, from healthcare to finance and agriculture, underscores the urgency and importance of building a robust AI-literate workforce.

Beyond formal classroom instruction, Samsung Nepal is committed to providing continuous support to its students. This includes mentorship from Samsung employees and industry experts, comprehensive career guidance, and assistance with real-world projects. Furthermore, in a move to foster a lasting community and facilitate ongoing learning, the company plans to establish the 'Samsung Innovation Campus Alumni Network.' This network will serve as a vital platform for former students to connect, share insights, and collaborate, ensuring a continuous cycle of growth and innovation.

Samsung firmly believes that a strong collaborative ecosystem involving academia, industry, and government is indispensable for nurturing an AI ecosystem in Nepal and accelerating the nation's digital transformation journey. Such partnerships are key to aligning educational outcomes with industry needs, driving innovation, and ultimately contributing to Nepal's economic growth and global competitiveness. This initiative by Samsung not only empowers individual students but also lays a crucial foundation for Nepal to thrive in the rapidly evolving global digital economy.
