Finance Minister Wagle Declares End to Political Interference in Appointments, Prioritizes Results and Meritocracy

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has issued a strong declaration, asserting that political pressure and undue influence in government appointments and employee transfers will no longer be tolerated. This pivotal announcement was made during a significant gathering of tax officers from across the nation, held at the Inland Revenue Department on Thursday.

Addressing the assembled officials, Minister Wagle underscored the current government's unwavering commitment to a results-oriented work culture, a principle championed by Prime Minister Balendra Shah himself. He explicitly stated that future responsibilities and positions would be allocated based solely on an individual's capacity and merit, rather than personal connections or political access. Minister Wagle further revealed that Prime Minister Shah has repeatedly conveyed his primary concern for the nature of work and its tangible outcomes, rather than the specific individuals involved. The Prime Minister has reportedly instructed officials to adhere strictly to established procedures and to deliver measurable results.
