eSewa Earns Global PCI DSS v4.0.1 Certification, Strengthening Payment Data Security

eSewa, Nepal’s leading digital payment service provider, has secured PCI DSS v4.0.1 certification, a globally recognized standard for payment card data security. The certification confirms that eSewa meets international requirements covering secure networks, data protection, access control, risk management, security testing, monitoring, and information security policies.

According to Chief Technology Officer Bipin Khanal, the certification further strengthens eSewa’s commitment to protecting users’ financial and personal data and maintaining their trust. The company said it will continue upgrading its systems and security practices in line with international standards. eSewa is also ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, reinforcing its focus on continuous information-security risk management and improvement.
