Global IME Bank Pledges Rs. 50 Million for Flood Relief

Global IME Bank Limited has announced financial support of Rs. 50 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support search and rescue, immediate relief, and long term recovery efforts for people affected by the devastating Bhotekoshi River flood. The flood has caused major loss of life and property across riverbank areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan, leaving many people dead, missing, and displaced. The bank said its support will help provide food, shelter, medical care, and support for rebuilding damaged infrastructure. The bank has said it has regularly provided financial and other assistance during major disasters in Nepal as part of its social responsibility.
