NEPSE Concludes The Week With 0.95% Loss and Turnover of Rs. 22.46 Arba; Weekly Summary with Sector Comparison, Major Highlights, and More

Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis The NEPSE Index closed at 2,618.72, down 25.11 points (0.95%). The index closed at 2,643.83 last week, down 0.24% from the previous week. This week, the index reached a high of 2,648.57 and a low of 2,608.38, resulting in a volatility of 40.19 points. The index had seen volatility of 27.32 points in the previous week. The highest intraday gain was 7.18 points on Thursday, with a turnover of Rs 4.16 Arba; however, the total turnover for the week stood at Rs 22.46 Arba. 

Momentum Indicators The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 37.78. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 42.32. Conversely, the MACD is below zero, and the Signal line is in the Negative zone, i.e., with the MACD reading at -12.92. The Nepse Index is below both the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index above the short moving average indicates earlier bearish sentiment. The 2,600 level may serve as the nearest support, while the 2,740 zone will act as a major resistance zone. Part 2: Insight into Important Data The highest intraday gain was 7.18 points on Thursday, with a turnover of Rs 4.16 Arba; however, the total turnover for the week stood at Rs 22.46 Arba. Over 5.61 Crore unit shares have been traded through 2,62,497 transactions this week. The current market capitalization of NEPSE is Rs. 4,504,551.11 million, i.e., Rs 45.04 Kharba.

NEPSE index and Sub-indices performance: (Gain/ loss is based on the previous week's close) The NEPSE index decreased by 0.95% this week. Only two sector indices closed in the green.  

Stocks with the highest Monthly Beta: The top three companies with the highest beta are Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB), Shikhar Power Development Limited (SIPD), and Kalinchowk Hydropower Limited (KHPL) with betas of 6.565, 4.267, and 4.083, respectively. 

Top Ten Gainers of the Week: Sarvottam Paints Industries Limited (SAPIL) is the top gainer. SAPIL closed at Rs. 797.60 with an increase of Rs. 400.90 (101.06%).  

Top Ten Losers of the Week: Khani Khola Hydropower Company Limited (KKHC)'s price has decreased by 23.39%, and its LTP stands at Rs. 269.90.
