Trading at the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) will resume as usual from today, Ashwin 6, 2083, after the technical issue at the data center hosting the servers of 72 trading member companies was resolved. NEPSE said the technical problem at Data Hub Pvt. Ltd., which serves as the data center for the servers of its 72 trading members, has now been addressed. Following the resolution, regular trading operations will resume from today. NEPSE had suspended trading yesterday, Ashwin 5, after a technical problem emerged at Data Hub from the morning of Ashwin 4. Although efforts were underway to resolve the issue, the problem had not been fixed by yesterday. NEPSE said continuing trading under the circumstances could potentially affect its own trading system. The Stock Brokers Association of Nepal had also requested the suspension of the day's regular trading session, citing the unresolved technical issue at the data center. Based on the request and the prevailing circumstances, NEPSE suspended trading on Ashwin 5 under Rule 21(1) of the Securities Listing and Trading Regulations, 2075. With the technical issue now resolved, NEPSE has informed all concerned that trading will operate according to the regular schedule from Ashwin 6.
