Out of 16 Kharba Targeted Revenue only 5.92% Collected Till Bhadra 1; Capital Spending at just 0.34%

The Government of Nepal's total receipts reached NPR 97.13 billion (971,387 Lakh), accounting for 5.92% of its annual budget target, while total expenditure stood at NPR 44.79 billion (Lakh 447,900) or 2.11% of total allocations as of Bhadra 1, 2083 BS (August 17, 2026), according to daily records from the Financial Comptroller General Office (FCGO). Out of the total target of 16 Kharba 42 arba in total receipts, the government generated 95 Arba 91 crore in total revenue (6.07%) of the annual revenue target of 15 Kharba 80 Arba 31 Crore. Within total revenue, tax collection contributed 88 arba 77 crore 45 Lakhs representing 6.33% of the 14 Kharba 03 arba 31 crore 83 Lakhs target. On the expenditure side, total disbursements from the treasury reached 44 arba 79 crore against the total annual budget of 21 Kharba,24 arba. Recurrent expenditure accounted for the bulk of spending at 24 arba 18 crore, representing 1.90% of its 12 Kharba 70 Arba allocation. Meanwhile, capital spending remained minimal at 14 arba 56 Crore marking just 0.34% of the allocated 4 Kharba 31 Arba capital budget. The FCGO noted that these daily figures are unprocessed, subject to change following final reconciliation, and exclude internal and external borrowings, while direct payment expenditures are partially included.
